North Korean leader Kim Jong Un oversaw a bombastic ceremony to celebrate the ground opening of a new 10,000-home development in the capital on Tuesday, featuring a new song praising him as the nation’s “friendly father” working to ensure a “brighter future” for the country’s people.

The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) named the new development Rimhung Street in a report on the ceremony Wednesday, stating it was finished “at the highest level” within a 14-month period amid efforts to build up the leader’s cult of personality.
