North Korea offered top-performing “communist mothers” sightseeing flights over Pyongyang last week aboard a Soviet-era turboprop plane, according to state media, in a rare report on a novel form of domestic tourism.
The tours, made in an Air Koryo Ilyushin Il-18 built in 1969, were reportedly set up to offer patriotic citizens unique views of new skyscraper developments in the capital.
