Cuba’s new ambassador to North Korea takes up post in Pyongyang

Seoul’s unification ministry says DPRK is allowing diplomats from ‘anti-American’ countries to return to the country

Cuba’s new ambassador to North Korea has taken up his post, DPRK state media reported on Thursday, making him the latest foreign diplomat to assume his position in the capital.

According to the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA), Cuba’s new ambassador, Eduardo Luis Correa Garcia, assumed his post after presenting his letter of credence to North Korean leader Kim Jong Un and Choe Ryong Hae, the chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly on Jan. 31.
