North Korea launched a likely intermediate-range ballistic missile into the East Sea (Sea of Japan) Sunday afternoon, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
The missile was launched from around Pyongyang at 2:55 p.m. and is “presumed” to be intermediate-range, the JCS assessed. It splashed down after flying around 621 miles (1,000 kilometers).
