North Korea launched a Hwasong-18 solid-fuel intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Monday morning, state media confirmed in a report the following day.
Leader Kim Jong Un oversaw the launch to “send a clear warning” to the “U.S. and the military gangsters of the Republic of Korea,” the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported Tuesday, adding the test demonstrates Pyongyang’s “mighty rage and ultra-hard will for revenge.”
