North Korea launches rocket toy set that closely copies Lego model

New toys feature similar logo, figurines and more in what appears to be DPRK’s latest knockoff of foreign products

A North Korean toy company has introduced new building block sets that closely resemble Lego rocket ships and ninjas, in what appears to be the latest example of the country producing knockoff versions of foreign products.

The “Building Blocks” (조립식놀이감) sets by toy manufacturer “Sangmyung” (상명) first appeared on North Korean state television in October, and the North Korean-linked Twitter account @Parama_Coreafan posted close-up images of some of the toys on Sunday.
