North Korea-China trade spikes to 4-year high as trucks and trains cross daily

Both imports and exports surge in November as DPRK slowly emerges from extended isolation during pandemic

North Korea’s trade with its largest economic partner, China, hit a four-year high in November on the back of a surge in both imports and exports, according to official customs statistics.

The figures provide the latest evidence that bilateral trade continues to recover from the pandemic doldrums after recent photos obtained by NK News showed that trucks and trains have been crossing between the two countries daily.
