North Korean leader Kim Jong Un summoned thousands of mothers to the capital over the weekend to warn them of a “growing problem” with “anti-socialist” behavior among young people and of the declining national birth rate, according to state media.
Kim emphasized the need to give birth to more children and adhere to government child-raising standards on the opening day of the Fifth National Meeting of Mothers on Sunday.
