Why Seoul’s threats to punish Russia for aiding North Korea won’t achieve much

Experts say Russian military aid would enrage South Korea but question if it would retaliate by sending arms to Ukraine

South Korea has warned Russia of stern measures if it deepens military cooperation with North Korea, but experts told NK News that they questioned how far Seoul would be willing to go if Moscow crosses its red line.

In a recent interview with ROK media, unification minister Kim Yung-ho said “we cannot help but seek powerful sanctions against Russia and North Korea with the U.S. and other nations” if Moscow offers Pyongyang military technology.
