South Korean man arrested over alleged gifts to North Korean waitress lover

Police say IT worker violated national security law by supplying cash, drugs and underwear to spies at DPRK restaurant

A South Korean businessman faces charges of breaching national security laws by allegedly supplying a North Korean restaurant tied to the country’s spy agency with  $20,000 worth of cash and goods — including underwear and drugs.

The transactions took place in a North Korean restaurant in Southeast Asia that the man frequented more than 100 times over the course of seven years, according to the head of the Seoul Metropolitan Police's national security investigation team.
