The U.N. Security Council (UNSC) has granted a sanctions exemption to UNICEF to send more than $1 million in humanitarian aid to North Korea.
The aid is focused on “health, nutrition, water, sanitation and hygiene,” according to documents posted on the website of the UNSC’s 1718 Sanctions Committee this week.
