South Korea will hold a nationwide civil defense drill on responding to North Korean air raids later this month, the first such drill involving all residents in six years.
The exercise on Aug. 23 will require people across the country to evacuate to designated shelters “to strengthen the response capacity of the citizens during an enemy air raid,” the Ministry of Interior and Safety said in a press release.
