North Korea will open its borders to select citizens for the first time in nearly four years, according to a tour company that operates in the country. 

Koryo Tours wrote on its website Thursday that the border reopening, while still lacking an official date, is anticipated to occur “soon,” according to multiple unnamed North Korean sources.

The initial phase of the reopening will exclusively allow North Korean citizens to return, including workers, students, businesspeople, diplomats and others stranded abroad since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, the tour company stated.
