B-1B bombers join US-ROK aerial drill against North Korean satellite launch

Joint exercise under Ulchi Freedom Shield comes after DPRK slammed bomber deployment and warned of ‘thermo-nuclear war’

The U.S. and South Korea conducted aerial training featuring American B-1B strategic bombers over the Yellow Sea on Wednesday, calling it a response to North Korea’s recent launch of a military spy satellite.

This comes about a week after North Korean state media warned of the rising possibility of a "thermo-nuclear war" on the peninsula, specifically denouncing the deployment of B–1B bombers for the allies’ joint Ulchi Freedom Shield (UFS).
