Joe Biden calls out state torture in North Korea, citing political prison camps

DPRK one of three countries that US president singles out in statement on international day to support torture victims

U.S. President Joe Bien called out “cruel” and “inhumane” punishments by the North Korean government on Monday, in a statement to mark the International Day in Support of Victims of Torture.

The DPRK was one of just three countries that Biden criticized in the statement, along with Russia and Syria.
