The U.S. has issued new sanctions designations against four North Korean entities and one individual suspected of contributing to illicit cyber activities and overseas information technology worker-related revenue generation for Pyongyang, the Treasury Department announced on Tuesday.
The new designations came as the U.S. State Department released information about a forthcoming symposium in California for tech industry leaders and experts from the U.S. and ROK governments on the risks of working with remote North Korean IT laborers.
