North Korean hackers accessed the personal medical records of hundreds of thousands of patients at a major hospital in Seoul, police announced Wednesday, in one of the largest known cyberattacks on South Korean civilian infrastructure.
The threat actor hacked into the intranet of Seoul National University Hospital (SNUH) between May and June 2021 using seven domestic and overseas computer servers, according to a Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) press release.
