North Korea’s soccer association condemned the Netherlands for allegedly denying entry visas for its athletes to participate in a women's soccer tournament next month, according to a press statement released Monday, the latest sign that the DPRK may be preparing to ease COVID-19 border restrictions first imposed in Jan. 2020.
The statement published by the Korean Central News Agency implies that North Korean sporting authorities applied to send a team to compete in the 14th World Military Women’s Football Championship scheduled to take place from June 25 to July 9.
