South Korea’s top military official visited the site of an ongoing U.S.-ROK special operations drill and asked that participating soldiers demonstrate the capability to conduct precision strikes against North Korea’s “key facilities without fail,” according to the Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) on Thursday.
During the visit to the Exercise Teak Knife training ground this week, JCS Chairman Gen. Kim Seung-kyum inspected a U.S. AC-130J gunship — nicknamed the Ghostrider — armed with multiple precision-guided weapons and deployed to South Korea for bilateral drills for the first time.
