North Korean authorities issued extreme cold weather warnings for the entire country on Tuesday, as a cold wave sweeping the peninsula pushes temperatures to dangerous lows in some of the DPRK’s most vulnerable regions.
The DPRK’s central radio broadcaster reported in the morning that northern regions are forecast to dip below -20 degrees F (-30 C). The capital city of Pyongyang reportedly reached -2 F (-19 C) earlier this morning, nearly 16 degrees F below average.
