The U.N. General Assembly condemned North Korea’s poor human rights record for the 18th consecutive year on Tuesday, as the international community seeks to keep up pressure on the regime to improve accountability and transparency.
The “Situation of human rights in the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea resolution” passed the Assembly by consensus after clearing the U.N.’s Third Committee in November.
