Chinese leader Xi Jinping said Tuesday that he will support Seoul’s so-called audacious plan to provide North Korea with economic inducements to denuclearize — on the condition Pyongyang is on board with the proposal that it has already denounced.
Xi also told South Korean President Yoon Suk-yeol that Seoul should “proactively” work to improve inter-Korean relations, as the two leaders held their first summit since Yoon took office on the sidelines of the G-20 gathering in Bali.
