The eagle has landed: South Korea suspends air drills after fighter jet crash

Soaring Eagle meant to train pilots to intercept North Korean and other enemy targets and follows recent DPRK flybys

South Korea postponed an air drill meant to kick off on Monday to practice intercepting North Korean and other enemy targets, after a ROK air force jet crashed the day before.

The Soaring Eagle exercise would have been the latest in a string of joint and bilateral military drills South Korea has conducted as North Korea tests weapon after weapon, including its largest nuclear-capable ballistic missile on Friday.
