South Korea seeks to fish up North Korean missile from waters off east coast

Reports suggest remnants are more than kilometer underwater, complicating effort to gather intelligence on DPRK weapons

South Korea has dispatched a salvaging vessel to search for a North Korean ballistic missile that landed near ROK waters earlier this week, the navy said Friday.

The 3,500-ton salvage tug sailed on Friday to the area where the short-range missile likely splashed down off the east coast, according to the South Korean navy.
