South and North Korea deny giving ammo to opposite sides in Ukraine war

Seoul says it ‘will not aid’ weapons to Ukraine, while Pyongyang has said it has no present ‘arms dealings’ with Russia

South Korea denied a report on Friday that it would send artillery shells to help Ukraine against Russia, days after North Korea also denied it was supplying weapons to the other side.

The Wall Street Journal (WSJ), citing unnamed U.S. officials, said Seoul would provide artillery shells to the U.S. for the explicit purpose of repelling Russian invaders. The U.S. has consistently accused the DPRK of supplying artillery to the Russian army, a charge both Pyongyang and Moscow reject.
