Seoul and the international community can “certainly” achieve the complete denuclearization of North Korea through a shared commitment to “universal values,” South Korea’s unification minister said Monday, days after Pyongyang successfully launched its largest intercontinental ballistic missile for the first time.
Kwon Young-se made the remark in a speech for an event promoting the Yoon administration’s “audacious” plan to provide economic aid to the DPRK for taking steps to denuclearize, while stating Seoul remains open to “any format of dialogue” with Pyongyang “anytime, anywhere.”
