A pair of dogs that became a symbol of the inter-Korean peace process after North Korean leader Kim Jong Un gifted them to the South Korean president have become embroiled in a heated custody dispute between the current and former ROK leaders this week.
Then-President Moon Jae-in received the two Pungsan hunting dogs from Kim as a goodwill gesture following the third inter-Korean summit in Pyongyang in Sept. 2018, raising them and one of their offspring ever since.
