Conducting multiple nuclear tests in short succession is a feasible way for North Korea to test different types of tactical warheads while minimizing political fallout, experts told NK News on Monday, after a ROK official raised the possibility of consecutive tests last week.
In a TV interview on Friday, vice defense minister Shin Beom-chul said Pyongyang may try “two or three consecutive” tests in a row if and when it conducts a nuclear test as the U.S. and South Korea expect.
