Seoul has approved a civic group’s request to send “nutritional” aid to North Korea, the unification ministry said Wednesday, the first time the Yoon administration has greenlit aid to the DPRK.
The move comes after Pyongyang rejected and ridiculed Yoon Suk-yeol’s “audacious” engagement plan last month that promises large-scale economic aid for denuclearization. North Korean leader’s sister Kim Yo Jong called the offer “nauseating” and “absurd.”
