North Korea fired two short-range ballistic missiles into the East Sea, South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) said Wednesday evening.

The launch comes as U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris is set to visit Seoul and the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) on Thursday, as well as amid ongoing U.S.-ROK naval exercises in the East Sea.
