US dedicates new addition honoring nearly 44,000 Americans and Koreans killed during 1950-1953 conflict with North Korea

The U.S. dedicated a new addition to the Korean War memorial on Washington’s National Mall on Wednesday, adding the names of nearly 44,000 soldiers killed in the conflict with North Korea to a new Wall of Remembrance. 

The dedication ceremony took place on the 69th anniversary of the signing of the armistice that ended hostilities in the 1950-1953 war.
