North Korean authorities appear to have at least partially lifted COVID-19 lockdowns in several cities across the country, state media coverage of recent heavy rain and flooding indicates.

Korean Central Television (KCTV) broadcasts on June 23 and June 26 about inclement weather showed people walking around and driving vehicles through the streets of Hamhung, Kaesong, Kangye, Nampho and Phyongsong.

The cloudy weather in recent days and weeks, however, has made it impossible to confirm increased activity in the cities using satellite imagery.
