North Korean ruling party officials face a crackdown on “abuse of power” after a meeting Sunday between leader Kim Jong Un and seven top party secretaries, according to state media.

The meeting was a direct follow-up to a three-day party plenum held last week, the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) reported on Monday. 

The Workers’ Party of Korea (WPK) Central Committee Secretariat discussed “discipline within the Party” and “waging a more intensive struggle against unsound and non-revolutionary acts including abuse of power and bureaucratism revealed among some Party officials,” the report said.
