North Korea launched a "likely" intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) and at least two other ballistic missiles from the Pyongyang area toward the East Sea on Wednesday morning, according to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
The JCS said North Korea fired the likely ICBM at 6 a.m., followed by an unspecified ballistic missile at 6:37 a.m. and a "short-range ballistic missile" (SRBM) at 6:42 a.m. on Wednesday. The tests were conducted from the Sunan area, possibly from the Pyongyang International Airport where it has conducted numerous missile tests in recent months.
