The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has indicted two Europeans it says conspired to violate sanctions against North Korea with recently-convicted American crypto guru Virgil Griffith.
Alejandro Cao de Benos and Christopher Emms worked with Griffith, a cryptocurrency expert convicted of conspiring to violate economic sanctions imposed on North Korea, to “teach and advise members of the North Korean government on cutting-edge cryptocurrency and blockchain technology,” U.S. attorney Damian Williams said in a statement.
