North Korea attempted to launch a “ballistic missile” around 9:30 a.m. KST Wednesday but the launch appeared to fail, according to South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS).
The launch effort occurred in Pyongyang’s Sunan area, the same location as two reported intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) system tests on Feb. 27 and March 5, which North Korea claimed were part of reconnaissance satellite tests.
