North Korea to co-host first international trade fair since start of pandemic

Virtual and in-person event could inject new life into DPRK-Chinese trade ties, Seoul-based trade group says

North Korea will participate in an international trade fair later this spring, marking the first time the country has joined such an event since the onset of COVID-19 in early 2020.

According to the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA), a Seoul-sponsored trade organization, the exhibition will take place from April 28 to June 28, with 200 North Korean companies and 150 Chinese firms invited to take part.
