North Korea reports no COVID cases after testing additional 2,040 people

DPRK yet to begin vaccinations as UN rapporteur calls for donation of 60 million doses

North Korea has reported that it remains free of COVID-19 after testing an additional 2,040 people, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), as the country continues to implement strict pandemic restrictions that have cut it off from the world for more than two years.

The DPRK has now tested 56,227 people for COVID-19 since the pandemic began, the WHO’s latest weekly situation report states. NK News is unable to verify figures that the DPRK provides to the WHO.
