North Korea’s top legislative body once again allocated a high percentage of the national budget towards defense and raised its pandemic prevention spending by 33% for 2022, state media reported on Tuesday.
The spending decisions — which cover only the segments of the economy that the Cabinet manages — were made at a Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) session held Sunday and Monday in Pyongyang.
