Top U.S. officials have condemned North Korea’s launch of its longest-range missile in years on Sunday, stressing Washington’s military preparedness and raising the possibility of “other” responses beyond additional sanctions.
But despite concern in Washington, experts told NK News that the DPRK is unlikely to test an even longer-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) in the coming weeks due to the upcoming Winter Olympics in neighboring China, while stating that North Korea is waiting to see the U.S. response.
