The U.N. Security Council (UNSC) convened Monday to discuss North Korea’s Jan. 5 missile test but once again failed to issue a joint condemnation due to Russian and Chinese opposition.
According to its official schedule, the Council held a closed-door meeting on Monday evening (U.S. time) to discuss the DPRK’s test last week of a "hypersonic" missile, concluding just ahead of the North’s latest test of a presumed ballistic missile on Tuesday morning (Korea time).
