North Korea has reorganized its Ministry of Agriculture into a new Agricultural Commission following leader Kim Jong Un’s reported promise to address food shortages at a recent party plenum.
The Standing Committee of the Supreme People’s Assembly (SPA) decided on the change on Jan. 21, stipulating that the Cabinet and “relevant organs” would be in charge of carrying out the reorganization, according to the party-run Rodong Sinmun on Wednesday.
