Chinese Ambassador to North Korea Li Jinjun will leave Pyongyang after almost seven years in the role, according to DPRK state media, which reported on Li's farewell visits with officials in the capital.
Top North Korean official Choe Ryong Hae hosted a banquet on Wednesday for Li and conveyed thanks from DPRK leader Kim Jong Un, according to the Rodong Sinmun on Thursday. Li also reportedly met cabinet head Kim Tok Hun the same day to exchange messages of mutual support and commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
