Venezuelan Ambassador to North Korea William Izarra died in his home country on Oct. 1, according to condolence messages posted online by President Nicolás Maduro and other political figures.
Several of Izarra’s students took to social media to mourn his death and share an apparent final message from the ambassador detailing his painful battle with COVID-19 at the end of September.
