No new missile debuts, parades on key North Korean holiday

A year after marking Party Foundation Day with new ICBM and parade, holiday passes with smaller events in 2021

After a massive intercontinental ballistic missile on an 11-axle transporter vehicle debuted on last year's 75th Party Foundation Day, this year’s 76th anniversary passed by much more quietly in North Korea.

The state-run Rodong Sinmun reported on various events on Sunday, including an evening gala for students and young North Koreans, a congratulatory performance at the Pyongyang Circus Theatre and a speech from Kim Jong Un.
