Humanitarian aid reaches North Korea amid strict border lockdown, UN says

Medical goods to treat tuberculosis and malnutrition are one of first confirmed aid shipments to DPRK in many months

Humanitarian goods reached North Korea “in recent weeks” according to the U.N., following a report from the World Health Organization (WHO) that suggested a major trade lane between China and North Korea had reopened to aid-related cargo.

The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) told NK News on Thursday that medical goods related to the treatment of malnutrition and tuberculosis were delivered to North Korea, but did not specify how or in what quantities.
