This week saw at least four known weapon tests on the Korean Peninsula.

North Korea tested long-range cruise missiles over the weekend, following up with a train-launched ballistic missile test on Wednesday.

South Korea on Wednesday tested two new weapons — a submarine-launched ballistic missile (SLBM) and a long-range air-to-surface missile — with President Moon Jae-in and defense minister Suh Wook present for on-site observation.

The same day, South Korea’s presidential Blue House and the defense ministry revealed information on three weapons that the country recently tested and developed: A solid-propellant engine combustion test for space launch vehicles was conducted
