Washington’s top North Korea envoy visits Seoul amid ongoing US-ROK joint drills

Sung Kim’s second trip since appointment comes two weeks after Pyongyang criticized 'hostile' joint drills

U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Sung Kim arrived in Seoul on Saturday for a four-day trip, less than two weeks after North Korea protested against the ongoing U.S.-ROK joint military exercises.

According to the U.S. State Department on Friday local time, Kim is set to meet his South Korean counterpart -- Special Representative for Korean Peninsula Peace and Security Affairs Noh Kyu-duk -- and other senior ROK government officials to discuss North Korea issues.
