North Korea reports no COVID cases amid rumblings of humanitarian aid

DPRK tells WHO it tested 693 people as UNICEF renews sanctions exemption for medical assistance

North Korea claims it still has had no cases of COVID-19 after testing an additional 693 people, according to the World Health Organization (WHO), amid reports that humanitarian aid flows into the country may soon resume.

The latest round of polymerase chain reaction testing brings the total number of people tested in the country to 35,947, the WHO said in its weekly situation report published on Monday.
