Amid food crisis, North Korea promotes elite homes with too much to eat

Children should never skip breakfast and stop using computers and phones late into the night, state TV says

North Korean state media revealed in June that the country was going through a “food crisis” and that Kim Jong Un ordered his government to revive food distribution to alleviate the emergency situation.

Now, state television is projecting an image of stability and elite lifestyles in a new public service announcement encouraging parents not to let their children skip breakfast or stay up late using the computer.
